FARM/FOREST STAYS

We are ready to offer our sweet forest farm cabin to people in our “FARM"ily.  If you think this may be you, be sure to contact us.  

It is a sacred retreat space where we go to as a family to disconnect, gain perspective, relax and recharge our weary farmer bones and to get tuned to the vibration of the forest and nature. So many people have told us what a special place this wild part of our farm is, across the street from our busy and operating organic farm. We are ready to share our special spot with you. This is a four season log cabin with a loft and full kitchen and bathroom, nestled in the woods amongst the wilds of Juniper Farm. The cabin has one queen size bed and one pullout queen bed. Generally it can sleep 4 people in a family (maybe 5 if most are little people)  or a couple. There are no doors in the loft or to any of the rooms.

The rustic log cabin is just a trail away from a semi-private small lake, and a home made sauna.  There are hiking trails through the woods and lots of opportunities to forage for mushrooms (you need to know) and other wild foods.  In the Spring you can collect sap to drink; in the Summer, forage and come down to the farm for a visit (self guided walk); in the Fall you will be dazzled by the colours and will have the best campfires or saunas, soaking up the last days before the snow; the Winter is a snowshoe trail wonderland and the cabin is a perfect place for introspection and (if you dare at the lake), cold dipping possibilities.  It is truly all very magical and you will be forever changed after some time in this special place. Prepare to unplug, disconnect and enjoy the land. 

Extra details are: no WiFi, no screens, cabin not baby proof, you can bring a dog who will not run away off leash, no dogs on farm though, fireplace with firewood and outdoor campfire pit, running water and electricity, 5 min (by car) to the village of Wakefield, our farmstore onsite open (summer hours) on Thurs 3-7, Fri 12-7, Sat/Sun 10-5, swimming etc at risk of visitors
