Our Farm

Welcome to Juniper Farm – A 200-Acre Organic Sanctuary in the Gatineau Hills
Nestled just minutes from Wakefield, Quebec, Juniper Farm is a diverse, organic haven. Spread across 200 acres, our farm is a tapestry of vegetable gardens, perennial beds, animal pastures, beehives, woodlands, meadows, wetlands, and streams, all working in harmony with the land.
The journey of Juniper Farm began in 2005 on a smaller piece of land, before we found our current home in 2010. Founders Juniper Turgeon and Alex Mackay-Smith have cultivated the farm with passion, trust, and a commitment to the earth, creating a legacy of sustainable farming practices that continue to evolve.
At Juniper Farm, we approach agriculture with an organic and biodynamic philosophy—nurturing the relationship between humans and the earth, revitalizing the land, and ensuring the integrity of our food. Our goal is to promote the health and well-being of our communities while creating a thriving, sustainable ecosystem.
We are proud to serve our community by offering fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, and eggs. We grow most of this ourselves but also bring in food from our neighbouring farming peops. Our farm also produces a line of fermented foods and hosts a variety of events, from farm dinners and workshops to festivals and artistic collaborations, offering visitors a deeper connection to the land.
